Britannia Banners

Walk around Britannia and you'll see beautiful banners hanging throughout the site. These are created every spring and fall during our banner workshops.

"I stand for simple justice, equal opportunity and human rights. The indispensable elements in a democratic society - and well worth fighting for." Helen Suzman

"The moral arc of the universe is long, but it bends toward justice." - Martine Luther King Jr

Our next banner workshop is coming up October 15-16, 2022 from 10:00am-4:00pm in the Britannia Secondary School Cafeteria.

Use high quality water-based fabric paints to help create Britannia's next set of colourful banners. Banners are large and hang in pairs and will be displayed outdoors on site and in the Library. This is a great workshop for friends and family.

The workshop is held in the secondary school cafeteria. Children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult. Wear old clothes, bring a lunch and a colour sketch of your idea. Banners can be purchased after exhibition for $20/set. Artists get first chance to buy their own banners. Unclaimed banners may be available at a Britannia Plaza Market in the summer. All materials will be provided.

$19.05 for 2 sessions. Register online here.
