Britannia would like to assist those who are not able to afford the advertised cost of certain recreation programs; at the same time, our operation needs to be financially viable. Click here for our Subsidy Policy.

OUR CENTRE IS CLOSED BUT WE ARE STILL HERE...

While the community centre is closed for normal programming, we are still working with our community to provide essential services to our most vulnerable residents.

Britannia Child Care is open for Essential service personnel and at risk children, together with Grandview Terrace Child Care we provided up to 25 licensed spaces for children ages 5-12.  If you need Child Care, please contact Lorraine at lorraine.evans@vancouver.ca

The Crisis Food Store has been established to deliver food hampers to residents of East Vancouver who may not be able to shop for themselves or to afford groceries during this pandemic.  Each day volunteers process and distribute up to 800lbs of food to people in our neighbourhoods.

Seniors Social Telephone Tree and Support, the phone tree offers social support and information to seniors over the phone.  Our volunteers make weekly social calls offering seniors a chance to be heard and a sense of community.  Contact is by email at 55eldersseniors@gmail.com or call us at 604.718.5811.

Youth Services, we are also reaching out to vulnerable youth and residents through social media and regular contact by phone.  We want to make sure our community are emotionally safe during this challenging time.
