Shine: Intercultural Spring Market

April 30, 2023 from 12-4pm in the Britannia parking lot and the šxʷqʷeləwən ct Carving Centre

We invite you to celebrate with us and share stories through music, art, dance, food and togetherness. The market will feature the works of local artisans, delectable food, community tables, and activities—it’s our time to shine again.

We'll have free bannock, chili, and hotdogs (while supplies last). Elders will be invited to have food first after the blessing of the food.

Location

šxʷqʷeləwən ct is located in the Britannia Community Centre parking lot at 1001 Cotton Drive.

Britannia is located on the unceded territories of the xʷməθkʷəy̓əm (Musqueam), Sḵwx̱wú7mesh (Squamish), and səlilwətaɬ (Tsleil-Waututh) Nations, and we hold the heritage of these lands close in our everyday work. We aim to embrace Indigenous values and practices and are committed to reflecting Indigenous protocols, beliefs, and ways of being in our work. We thank those who came before us and who have guided our learning.

Thank you to funding from the City of Vancouver CASC grant.
