The dance of sun and earth has inspired celebrations of the human spirit, expressed through art and music throughout the ages. Our annual Winter Solstice a lantern Festival is celebrated in multiple Vancouver neighbourhoods and illuminates the longest, darkest night of the year with a multicultural array of lanterns, fire, singing, music and storytelling. Celebrate the solstice at Britannia with a FREE community evening of music, performers and a beautiful 700-candle Labyrinth of Light. As well, In the House Festival offers concerts and workshops in community homes.
